These trophies are a traditional drinking dish called a 'quaich'. A quaich represents a Welcome Cup, and would be filled with whisky and then be shared amongst your guests until empty. (hic) |

Kyler Paulson of the USA is 11 years old. He spent the whole week on the hillside endearing himself to everyone there. His patience and politeness was recognised by a special trophy for the 'Best Spectator'. This trophy was accompanied by a foamy radio-controlled bi-plane. Just look at that smile... |

The prize no-one wanted to win - the Best 'Landing'! Ian Stewart of Scotland earned this prize with a landing no-one saw. In fact it took quite some time to find the model in the heather at the bottom of the hill.
Some of the English lads used the remains for a lesson in internal wing construction methods.
Interestingly abrupt landing prizes of inflatable frisbies went to Alvaro Silgado of Spain and Angus Lee of Hong Kong. |
